Opting Out of Cable TV

June 9, 2008

With the move to Florida, we have decided to abandon cable TV for the time being. There are so many things to do down here that we figure there’s no use in wasting time watching TV and the extra $50 bucks a month will allow us to do an extra $50 bucks a month of activities down here.

With that said, I forgot how funny these are. My favorite is “2007 - Tech Support”. Absolutely hilarious. Especially if you’ve ever tried to get a web cam to clamp to the top of a PC’s monitor.

You probably get HD programming over the air there don’t you? Lucky Duck. Too bad we can’t opt out of cable for the summer because we don’t watch it much here for obvious reasons. Of course the summer only lasts 2.5 months, then it’s back to freezing for 9.5!

I’ve been thinking about getting rid of our cable for a while now. There’s always hulu, but with soon-to-be four kids, no time for tv anyway, right?
