Flow
May 19, 2011
I never thought I’d say this, but Flow puts Things to shame. I’m not trying to be mean to the guys behind Things – they’ve done a great job and Things has served me well – but, Flow is just that good. The intuitiveness of the entire app – from organization, delegation and commenting to aesthetic, speed, keyboard shortcuts, web app, and desktop companion Mac app – makes this the best productivity app I have ever used. l’m hesitant to take a jab at two startup icons in one post, but I think Flow even kicks Basecamp’s ass. (Eeeks, did I really just say that?) I think the funniest part is that this is one of the few productivity apps I have seen that doesn’t juxtapose itself to Basecamp in their marketing. (Probably a good lesson for me in there somewhere.)

The only thing that was a little tough for me to digest was the $10/month per user fee. But, considering, first, I am committed to abandoning free services where better paid ones exist, and, second, I pre-paid for a year ($99) and got 2 months free, and, third, the app is helping me organize every area of my life, well, those three things have staved off any potential buyers remorse I might have felt otherwise. Do the trial. I think you’ll love it. I couldn’t be happier with it.

I just found Flow a couple of weeks ago and was thinking about trying it out, which I will have to do now. Thanks for the post!

Not Iranian hackers, although that is funny. Comments are on for the iPhone section, with perhaps another section or two to follow.
