Dubai International Airport

I haven’t been to Dubai yet but from everything I’ve heard there is some really cool stuff happening there. The logo for the Dubai International Airport makes me think what I’m hearing is true. The logo was done by Cato Purnell Partners who specialize in “identity management and design.”

Dubai in particular and the UAE in general is the world center of cutting edge architecture, among many other things. They built a giant (I’m talking monstrous) palm shaped island in the ocean (an engineering marvel) and are building homes for the wealthy on it. They have the largest mall in the world which has (I’m not making this up) a ski slope with actual snow. I could go on and on. Petro-dollars at work.
