Bummer (but Really Not a Surprise)

February 5, 2008

According to the results from today’s elections Ron Paul is getting owned. I heard one commentator say today that he’s not popular because he “doesn’t play by the rules,” which, is sad, really, because the “rule” he is trying to play by is the constitution, which, I thought was what all politicians were supposed to play by. Where has critical thinking gone? Sad, sad, sad.

    Hey Brandon

I just wanted to let you know that I’ve been reading your blog for a while now and its great. I’m also a husband, christian, father, sinner, designer, etc. haha.

I also support Ron Paul and voted for him last night even though I knew there really is no chance, which is really dumb, he says lots of amazing things. Its sad that most of america just follows along with the “crowd” and doesn’t really look at the issues. But, oh well.

Even if he doesn’t get the chance to run as the republican choice, I’ll still write his name in, haha.

Anyways, keep up the good work!

    Hey David,

Thanks for the kinds words! I will write him in too come November. I have resolved this election to adhere to the idea that a vote is a “wasted” vote as the logic behind it is terrible.

Can you let me know when your site is up? I’d like to check it out.

Strangely, New Mexico doesn’t have their Republican primaries until June, so I can’t cast my vote for Paul for another few months. In the meantime, I’m continuing to tell friends about his policies and encourage them to engage his and the other candidates policies and not simply listen to what Fox or CNN tells them.

Again, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
