03.25.2008 / Meet the Doctor

You may recall a rambling post about “voices in my head” that equated to a bunch of business ideas. If you’ve got a few minutes to waste you can read it here. Otherwise, feel free to keep reading.I’ve been having so much fun slicing CSS that I decided to create a little website to manage the projects that I’ve been doing. There’s a cool little admin interface that allows people to post projects, upload files, track progress, leave feedback, preview their files and pay their invoice.A couple of cool benefits of using the Doc (haha, so cheesy), include getting every 10th slice free. I am also slicing for a wide variety of CMS apps like Blogger, WordPress, Drupal, Movable Type and Joomla!. So if you’ve got a custom design for one of these or another site and don’t want or have the time to do the slicing yourself feel free to give the Doc a try.Overall, I’ve had fun putting this project together and am excited about how it will streamline the current project flow and am looking forward to how the service will grow and evolve.Cheers!doctordiv.gif

Design concept for new web site for one of DW Turner’s clients Mark Pardo. I think it has a nice balance between “classy / sexy” without being skanky. At least that’s what I was going for. My wife and a few coworkers concurred, so hopefully I’m not delusional. We’ll see what the awesome client says.

02.18.2008 / New Mexico Dental Website

We’ve been working on a redesign for the New Mexico Dental Association web site to highlight their Brighter Smiles for New Mexico campaign that we helped develop. Here is what I’ve got so far. They wanted a New Mexico flavor to the site, hence the balloons.

02.16.2008 / Website Transfusion

I haven’t done a self-promotional piece in a while. In fact, 2002 was the last time I did one. It was while I was with the talented folks over at Rome & Gold Creative and I was fortunate enough to have Rockport Publishers feature it in their book The Power of Paper. Since I’ve been trying to assemble my portfolio, I decided to order a copy on Amazon last week. It arrived in the mail yesterday and I’ve uploaded some photos below.

Six years later I have decided to do another promotional piece. So after one hundred IV bags from Ebay, a few gallons of Gatorade, some vinyl labels and cardboard boxes I recently put together a “Website Transfusion” piece to market the web site services at DW Tuner. FYI - I may retake all these pics with our “nice” camera at work as my phone camera did not do that great a job with the quality.

11.19.2007 / ASU Transfer Website

Arizona State University is redoing their transfer site to assist students transferring from other Arizona universities to ASU. Their current site is pretty cluttered and confusing so we pitched an idea that would greatly simplify the process. Stay tuned…
